Again, if you're on the lookout for some brush sets, you always know that Sephora is going to have a couple of options. Specialized brush sets like the All a Glow set are great for those looking to fill in brush gaps while focusing on specific tasks and tiny traveller sets like the Touch and Gold set might be good for minimalistic jetsetters. And of course, a generalized set like the Gold Star Skinny set is great for beginners looking to build up their collection.
All a Glow Brush Set* ($46CDN) contains a travel sized contour, cream blush, foundation, highlight and concealer synthetic brush in a gold and black clutch It’s completely focused on getting a flawless face and contains a tutorial card for how to master bronzing and highlighting.
I love the angled brush here and the tutorial booklet. The concealer brush reminds me of the Sigma Precision line and its dome shape sits well on the face for its purpose.
Gold Star Skinny Brush Set* ($49CDN) contains a powder, foundation, crease, shadow, and liner brush in a gold pouch. Unlike the other set's I've reviewed, the eye shadow brush here is the exact shape that I like and not the gigantic ones in the other sets. The powder brush is soft and the foundation brush is dense enough for cream foundations but might leave streaks in liquid options.
Touch and Gold Travel Brush Set* ($29CDN) contains a mini powder, foundation and eyeshadow brush in a cloth travel wrap. I can't say I'm a complete fan of this one. The eyeshadow brush is one of those large format ones, and the powder and foundation brush isn't the softest. For $10 a brush...I'd rather pay more and go with the other large sets.
Of the three..my pick would be the All a Glow set, though I do like that one eyeshadow brush in the Skinny Set. Sephora, can you make all your eyeshadow brushes in sets that size? Please and thank you.
Any brush sets catch your eyes?
