Garnier Clean+ Balancing Gel Exfoliator review

Learning that exfoliators are an important part of keeping the pores unclogged is a relatively new discovery for me. I knew exfoliation was something I should do now and again but I always forget.

Garnier Clean+ Nourishing Cleansing Oil review

Finally, someone in the West is trying their hand at creating a drugstore cleansing oil. Since I always go in for the double cleanse, I'm always on the look out for affordable cleansing oil options.

Desert Essence Lemon Tea Tree Deodorant review

Since my little "to be or not to be" conundrum surround natural products, I've been open to pushing the boundaries of my man-made-product dependency. I've been curious about making the switch to aluminum and paraben free deodorants except the fear of excessive sweating and strong odours have help me back. Thankfully, Desert Essence gave me a gentle shove by sending this deodorant my way.

Quick Post: Versatile Blogger Award

Well, Shelby from Biffsquiggled nominated me for a the Versatile Award. Easy enough, its just 7 things about myself so here's a quick mid-day words only post.

1) I have wide feet. It sucks for buying shoes.
2) I'm hella excited about the Alexander Wang x H&M collab coming out in Nov.
3) My "I've had a bad eating day" dinner is two eggs and lots of greens.
4) I have a stuffed giraffe named Martin and a stuffed bunny named Worry Bunny.
5) I can't say no to sweet things. I joke I have a hollow leg that allows space for dessert.
6) I'm loving the opening sequence from "True Detective".
7) The Man Repeller is awesome. The writing tone is what I not so secretly aspire for with this blog. Still working on it.

Tell me one weird/interesting/whatever thing about yourself.

Pacifica Solid Perfumes:Island Vanilla and Hawaiian Ruby Guava review

If you're into the "good for you" brands, Pacifica is definitely one to check out. My first encounter with them was via the many (now 18!) perfumes that they have. I highly recommend giving those a sniff when you spot them. They come in roller ball, bottles and solids!

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge and Silicone Liner Brush review

In general, the Real Techniques brand has produced some stellar brushes at affordable prices. In fact, I love my Expert Face Brush so much I bought another just because I didn't want to go without one between washes. I'm often curious to see what other options this brand will come out with.

Eyes on Pacifica*: Stellar Gaze Mascara and Fringe, Gun Metal and Bare Eye Pencils

Pacifica Stellar Gaze length and strength Mascara and Fringe, Gun Metal and Bare Eye Pencils review

Pacifica has been slowly branching out of their body care products to produce makeup and recently they launched a few new eye products. Firstly, can we just give some points to the graphic designs?

Brightening up!

products for brightening skin

As far as skincare goes, though there are still some nagging skin issues, I've pretty much moved up the hierarchy of Maslow's Skincare Needs. The basic cleanse-tone-moisturize stages have more or less been fulfilled and now I'm searching for full skin-actualization.

Garnier: Deconstructed Line (Beach Chic Spray, Move It Gel, Pixie Play Cream)*

garnier deconstructed beach chic hair spray pixie play creme move it gel review

Garnier's new Deconstructed line promises a done-yet-undone look with 24 hour touchable, deconstructed style with a soft satin finish. Having tried a pseudo-perm (where I waffled for about 20 mins at the salon and the dresser decided to finally imitate a perm by blowdrying so I could get a sense of how it would look before I committed....) I realized I wanted to do something NEW with my hair. I like my hair generally but I just wanted something different so instead of opting for the perm (though I still just may) going with styling products seemed an inexpensive alternative.

Swapping the Stash with Citron and Guavaberry

sleek rose gold blush, tarte off the cuff palette, chanel intonation blush, clinique peach pop blush swatches

Let's be honest, sometimes we just want to try something without committing to the purchase. Thankfully, blogger friends makes this easy enough and so  Vanessa from Citron and Guavaberry and I had a little get together over the weekend, where not only fun times were had but also some blush swappin' was done.

L'Oreal Extraordinaire gloss Orange Tempo rouge allegro swatch review

Since I loved the Maybelline Elixir gloss I picked up, I wanted to try out the L'Oreal versions as a comparision. Thankfully Shoppers was quite happy to help me out with this since they went on sale a few weeks ago.

LUSH spring 2014 collection

I'm a huge LUSH fan and have converted more than a few people into LUSH lovers as well. Their Spring collection just launched and there are more than a few interesting goodies to pick up! I won't be able to test out the bath stuff just yet but am super excited to soak in the bf's tub at the end of April when I'm back home.

Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base (02 Champagne) swatch review

Very rarely have I rounded up "favorites" or really stated that I've been consistently loving something. Daily, I flip between so many products that having "weekly favorites" or even "monthly favorites" isn't quite possible. But lately, I've seriously been enjoying the Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base.
