Let's be honest, like you, I'm draw to pretty packaging. But at the end of the day, I'm more likely to repurchase and use products that actually work, regardless of how they look. When it comes to intense skin hydration, taking care of my heels and legs are one area where product quality will always trump product appearance.

What's all this about parabens? About silicons? Mineral oils? Phyto-butyl-isomer-whatsitsnames? Whatever x-rated chemical making its way around the blogosphere to watch out for? Reviews popping up warning me of baldness, skin aberrations or worst, cancer (and we don't joke about cancer ladies). Instantly, I was scared.

Hi everyone, my name is Jasmine and I am the author of the Canadian beauty blog called "The Happy Sloths". Today I am sharing with you a few of my skincare essentials.

When it comes to skincare, there are very few items that I like to stick with as I constantly introduce new items I find into my routine. I have combination skin and suffer from acne so it's always a struggle to keep those pesky zits at bay while avoiding drying out my skin excessively. So that was a tiny background on my skin type, now let's move on to some of the products I have been loving:

I couldn't help myself. After hearing that not only the Maybelline Elixirs but also the L'Oreal Extraordinaire glosses were on sale at Shoppers a few weeks ago, my resolve broke down. I had to pick up some more of the Maybelline glosses and try out the L'Oreal versions as well! In addition, a mid-work day walk through Winners resulted in some new skincare purchases as well.

New Design

Hey Guys,

As you can see, there's a new design up on the blog! Cotton Apple (http://cottonapple.blogspot.ca/) is working on it for me and she's doing a great job! That being said, there's some growing pains so if things like Disqus disappear or widgets get moved around don't be alarm. We'll have it up in perfect working order very soon.
