The Dior 5 Couleur Design Palettes 508 Nude Pink Design* ($63CDN) is probably one of my preferred shade combos from the range ( I also like Purple Design). There's more contrast in the shade selection and the mix of the pink and light brown/taupe works well. I tend to mix colors and neutrals on my lids so this combo spoke to me more than the other options I've tried. Here is my general opinions of these palettes.

L'Occitane and their Labels
There's something very unique about L'Occitane's packaging. You may not have noticed but the majority of their products, prettily packaged, expertly labelled, also has Braille. While I was playing around with some my deliveries, I noticed bumps on a body milk. It didn't quite register but when I started noticing other bumps I realized what it was and was impressed by my discovering. I don't know of any other beauty/skincare brand that makes this attempt at accessibility.

Blindly Buying Glasses Online - A Firmoo Experience*
*Press Sample
I've long avoided buying glasses online. While everyone else can score free first pairs and low priced frames, there were many fears for my very high prescription that kept me from trying.
For someone with a -6.00 and -6.50 prescription, I'm practically blind without glasses. When I misplace them, its not a simple activity to find them again. Its a nose to the ground and senseless groping of the floor type activity where a mild panic can settle into my heart as I contemplate never being able to see a Korea drama on my computer screen again. On top of that, having such a high prescription means that I need the thinnest lenses possible and the awkward symmetry of my head means I always need help adjusting the frames to my face.
There were many reasons to avoid blindly buying glasses online.

CoverGirl TruBlend Foundation - M3*
*I did not purchase this
The Covergirl Trublend* liquid foundation is supposed to seamlessly blend into your skin for a flawless look. I can't seem to find much else about its claims so there you go.

The Little Things
Shrink anything and you will instantly get a few likes just for being so adorbs. (Take Steph, for example. Hahaha! Sorry.)
Mini horses? Frickin cute.
Mini human? Oomgz
Mini cake on sticks? Get into my tummy now.
(Mini Pashli? One day you will be miinnnesss...*edit*...have since bought this bag)
Not only do mini items get points for aesthetic but I've been loving a few miniatures in my beauty stash for pure functionality.

Recovery and Graydon's The Mist
That 10K really took it out of me! I thought I would be able to start up my regular gym schedule again but my right knee still feels 90 years old and there's a persistent ache around my inner left ankle (Can anyone tell me what this might be?). Damn it! Apparently I can't just bounce back from stupidly long runs. I have no interest in doing one, but it wasn't like it was a half marathon! Body, why do you fail me?

Current Cleansing Oils
*Press Sample
Since discovering cleansing oils, they are a must have and you will have a hard time convincing me that they aren't necessary. I don't often try to have multiple bottles open at the same time but here are the current oil cleansers in my shower space.

Essence 3D Shadows (Irresistible Vanilla Latte, Fullmoon Flash, Choco Cupcake)
*Press Sample
Essence has reformulated their 3D Shadow ($3.99CDN) line to improve blendability and creaminess. I got to explore three of them. Promising excellent 'color dispersion' and high coverage. They can be used wet or dry and come in a range of finishes from metallic to satin. At this price point, I really hoping to fall in love with these but my feelings are a bit mixed.

Vichy Normaderm Tri-Activ Mask*: The Oily Skin Crime Fighter
*Press Sample
The Vichy Normaderm Tri-Active Mask* ($19.95CDN,125ml) is potent stuff! This is the specially rented, industrial steam cleaner of clay masks, the soaker-upper of oil and the crime-fighter against pimples. All you sufferers of acne pay attention, I don't think I've ever quite used something this powerful.

Awesome Cheek Duos ft. Mary Kay's Mineral Cheek Duos*
*Press Sample
I am constantly in appreciation and in love with Mary Kay's powder products. Their eyeshadow have consistently performed well and on par, if not better, with some high end products that I've tried. Every season Mary Kay sends along their latest releases and I try to only showcase the things that are interesting to me. The summer season's 'must haves' is easily their Mineral Cheek Duos*.

Shooting "On Location" and Dior Tie Dye Nude Tan Blushes*
*Press Sample
I wanted to take photos of these products on the beach. You know, just hanging out on the beach, like make up products often do. Using the beach as my "set" seemed like a brilliant tie-in to Dior's summer Tie Dye theme (props to Julie for the idea) except I didn't quite factor in how annoying it can be to shoot "on location".

10K Runs and the Saje Pain Release Kit
Today, May 10th, marks a milestone. It marks the first time I willingly subject myself to, what will most likely be, a painful exhibit of tentative athleticism and stalwart belief in preserving my health. Today is the day, I run a 10K race.

Vietnamese Spring Rolls
Lately I've been hankering for Vietnamese Spring Rolls and discovering that FreshCo sells rice paper wrappers for something like $2.50 made my Vietnamese Spring Roll dreams closer to reality.

One thing I absolutely love about blogging and about the CBB Network are the friendships I've made. More importantly, another thing I absolutely love is the way we solve our makeup collection mismatches. In other word, swapping with your makeup friends is just about the best thing ever.

FOTD #11: 'Cause we want the perfect Tie Dye Sunset look*
*Press Sample or gifted
Maybe I'm jumping the gun, but the current rash of warmer weather has me thinking of summer. "Optimal Jenn Temperature" ranges around 11-18C so to me and with daylight still present well past 6pm, I'm thinking of beach sunsets and brighter colors. The Dior's Tie Dye line offers just that, promising sunset shades that add light to the skin.

*Press Sample
I don't day dream about my wedding and I don't have aspirations to live a Wysteria Lane life but I have a horrible tendency to plan for things that are way too far off in the future and I already know the name of my children. I just have to convince David.

Deep Cleaning Brushes
I use olive oil to clean my brushes. Does anyone else do that *raises eyebrows*?
For the most part, brush cleaning is one of those awful chores we all hate to do but know we should. Most of us have gone the way of buying more brushes in order to avoid cleaning with the ironic result that each time you do clean, you actually need to clean more.
