As suggested by a friend, I'm doing a post on my day and night skincare routines. This is going to be a long one folks. Usually a skincare routine consists of a cleanser, followed by toner, then a moisturizer. If you have a serum or some other treatment you're using, those typically come after the toner. If you're into Asian skincare, you also have to figure out the right ordering for serums, essences, and emulsions. Typically it is suggested that products be used in increasing order of thickness/density.
It can get a bit confusing I have to say, and sometimes I wonder if having all these products can create some redundancy so I try and keep it straightforward. I wouldn't say I'm completely happy with my routine but am not about to dump all my bottles to find the perfect products. It's a bit of a process to find the right combo. As an aside, meet my fruit dish which also doubles as a collection bin for all the products I need to photograph for posts.
