make up for ever jamie chung palette swatch review

The problem with blogging breaks is that critical periods for certain reviews can be missed. I received the Jamie Chung Make Up For Ever Be Bold. Be Unexpected. Be You Artist Shadow Palette ($56 CDN, $111 CDN value, 4 full sized shadows) a while go but I can't seem to find the product on Sephora's website any more. I hope some of you were able to pick this one or the Andreja Pejic palette up. As you know, my love for these shadows are strong

Tomato Season Salad

August is tomato season and you don't know tomatoes until you've eaten them at their peak of perfection. Nothing like those hardened bland tennis balls you find in the grocery store during winter, the summer tomato is sweet, juicy and savory. Depending on which variety you get they can taste like different kinds of citrus or melons and finding the nearly 20 varieties at our local farmers market on a Saturday made David and I salivate for an easy Tomato Salad.

Update

Hey dude,

Just another quick update. I've run out of pre-schedule posts and am still without a blog functional computer so ABZ is going on a brief break until a) my new computer is delivered, b) I finish purging and going through all my accumulated belongs from 27 years of life and c) I finally have furniture at David's to put my belongings into. At some point I also intend to start finding employment because 'funemployment' is only fun as long as you don't start down the existential road of  'What Am I Doing with My Life?!" :)

Enjoy your August! I hope to get ABZ up at running again within a few weeks.

The Best Baker in Toronto? Missing Alli's Fresh Baked Goods

There are a few things I miss in Toronto and unsurprisingly some of these are edible items. While browsing through some photos, I felt the sharp pangs of longing from missing one of my absolute favorite bakers in Toronto. She can only be found at farmer markets and my occasional trips to the Sorauren Farmer's Market in Toronto always involved a mandatory stop at her booth.

Dior Powder Eyebrow*

When I bought my first concealer, I also bought my first eyebrow pencil and that was more than 2 years ago. The Make Up For Ever Eye Brow Pencil in #4 has lasted me an amazingly long time. I didn't know much about brow but slowly I've morphed into someone who feels just slightly weird about 'not having my brows on'. It has been a slow creep. So slow in fact that I've still literally using the very same and first MUFE pencil even though I use it nearly everyday.

Glasses and Makeup - Trial and Error

My first forays into makeup research focused on how to wear makeup with glasses. I felt like there needed to be some special consideration for my blind plight but in hind sight (ha), a lot of time was wasted on this pursuit. The internet and youtube gave me a plethora of tips but now that I have accumulated three different pairs of glasses, I've learned that these one-size-fits-all lists of 'what to dos' don't always work and that each pair of glasses comes with it own set of challenges.

Trials with Dermalogica

dermalogica daily microfolient multi-active toner skin hydrating masque gentle cream exfoliant skin hydration booster review

I am happily and excitedly working my way through the Dermalogica range. With their incredibly extensive and thought out skincare lines, it's hard to even know where to being and that's when their deluxe travel sizes are the bomb.

Chia Seed Crackers

chia seed cracker recipe

I thought it was a good idea to buy a huge bag of chia seeds from Costco but after discovering I quite dislike chia seed pudding, I tried to find uses for my chia abundance. Google produced a glut of options of which Nyoutritious by Regina's Chia Seed Crackers seemed the most immediate appealing.

Purgoo Tea Detox

There have been a lot of detox tea options coming out lately, or I've been noticing them more on social media. Purgo, from Victoria BC, promises to cleanse, boost metabolism and reduce bloating. The ingredients are all natural and contain no laxatives or gluten.
