With the huge success of the new MUFE Artist Eyeshadow launches, I've been keeping my eye on all the new items Make Up For Ever has been coming out with recently. Next up to debut are the Make Up For Ever Artist Liners* ($24 CDN, 0.28g).

The pencils promise high pigmentation and an easy glide in a twist-up format. The combination of oils and waxes deliver smudge-proof yet blendable lines which set to long wearing eyeliner look. Like the shadows, these come in matte, metallic, iridescent, diamond and satin finishes for 15 hues in total.

When I first started getting into makeup I spent hours deciding between eyeliners. The world seemed to love the MUFE liners but I never did try them out until recently. Now that I've got M-10*, a matte black, I can check this off the 'to try' bucket list.

Once I got the product twisted up, I noticed that I couldn't twist it back down but I'm not sure if that's this particular one, or if they are all like that. As an eyeliner, it was easy to get the line I needed but the lack of a sharpener makes super thin lines a little bit more difficult. Your regular line should be fine though. This stayed put on my waterline and set quickly and didn't budge after that. But the one real downfall is that over the course of the day, it smudges.

For those with super oily lids, this might be a product to skip. I did prime beforehand which does help but if I forgot, there were traces of liner on my lower lid at the end of the day (though no creasing) I'm curious to swatch the other colors in store to see if something catches my eyes but I'm hesitant to purchase since this smudged so obviously. Wanted to love you, Artist liner, but...sorrriiesss.

Have you been paying attention to the new MUFE launches?
