Ecotools Skin Perfecting Brush review

I know a lot of people go crazy about brushes, but I'm not one of those people. Still I valued the brush reviews I've read when I trying to make purchasing decisions, so hopefully this helps you out! And if you're into cruelty free companies, take note of Ecotools. This brush has cruelty free bristles and a recycled aluminum ferrule. The handle is made out of bamboo.

The Ecotools Skin Perfecting Brush ($9.99CDN) has an angled edge to easily apply foundation to hard to reach areas. Designed for use with BB/CC cream consistencies, it is perfect for liquid and cream face products and primers. It's advertised to produce a natural/sheer to moderate coverage while being good at blending and precise application of product.

I'm really loving the angled edge of this. I didn't know it would make such a difference but the tilt makes it more ergonomic for my hand when applying foundation. I used this brush to apply my Clarin's Radiance Boosting Base since it was the most BB/CC like thing I had at the moment.

I wanted to like this but I found the bristles slightly scratchy. Some other reviewers commented on how soft the bristles were so I'm wondering if I got a dud. The brush applies product on well but a lot of product seems to absorb into the brush. I don't have to keep putting my product on my face but I really have to keep blending to smooth everything over my face. So far the brush has not shed bristles.

I'd say the major lesson here is that angled brushes are awesome but for me, not this exact one.

Do you have a favorite angled brush? How do you think they compare to flat top or non-angled options?

Daily Zen:  Is Twitter dying? An interesting article on the Twitter we know, the Twitter that once was and the Twitter, Twitter hope(s/d) to be. Do you find yourself less engaged/spending less time on it? Is this a platform you feel worth engaging with? Some really good points about finding niches. I wonder how the norms of the Beauty Sphere work into the author's theories.
