Since I play with so many different skincare and color items, I try not to rave too frequently about things. Being a little discerning helps to separate the good from the great. Lately there has been a few things that have left a more than positive impression and are worth mentioning.
Dial Coconut Water Hydrating Body Wash*
I have to admit that my eyes glaze over body wash reviews. Really, its soap and it washes your body. Yay. So I can image more than a few of you are skipping over this but that's your lose. Not only does this smell great, like actually 'woah...let me smell that again' type great, but it leaves a perceptively hydrated feel on my skin. The other two bottles I received from the Dial Event are just as great though they give different moisturization levels. Being able to use all three consecutively really clarified how they differ from each other and isn't something the average person gets to do.
L'Occitane Shea Cleansing Oil
I've mostly given up hope that a Western cleansing oil could do the same job as my favorite Asian varieties (and for a reasonable price). Yea The Body Shop's Cleansing Balm is good but its still not great and I much prefer a liquid cleansing oil. The L'Occitane one has so far regained some hope that the Western market is catching up. It cleans everything off, rinses off well and smells good.

Viva Health Skincare Pure Hyaluronic Acid Eye and Face Serum*
I seriously did not believe in the power of Hyaluronic Acid until I tried this. I knew it was good for you and merely trusted that it worked but until I used this I knew nothing! The plumping and hydrating effect this gives is instant and obvious. I really can't deny the results and this thin liquid really wow-ed me.
Viva Health Skincare Amaze Exfoliating Gel*
This has been another Viva product that has actually amazed me as advertised (have to be honest, thought the name was a bit gimmicky). You actually see your dead skin cells rubbing off when you use this. Actual observable proof that your skin is being exfoliated. Gross, maybe, but effective? YES!
More in depth reviews of both to come.
Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara
I already talked about this recently here but in brief, an actual drugstore mascara that does something for my lashes!
So there you go! Five things that have been kinda surprisingly great.
Has anything been kinda surprisingly great for you lately?
