(Unfortunately photos in this post were lost due to The
Great Deletion of 2014. Some efforts to re-do photos will be made but not
all posts will be redone.)
The set came with a full sized Bi-Facil makeup remover (which sort of sold me on the whole thing to begin with), a lipstick, blush, eyeshadow palette, mascara, sample of Visionnaire, sample of La Vie est Belle perfume, and a night cream. The items were stored in a fuschia case which I'm not a fan of since it's not the best shape for storage, doesn't have a handle and has only one compartment. I find that the cases gift sets come in are rarely that good.
The New Pink Lipstick
This lipstick is from the Color Design line. (Have you guys seen the Rouge in Love line from Lancome? Those are super pigmented and I might take a few more ganders at them.)The Color Design line has some very good staple colors and this one is in The New Pink which is a lovely bright rose with a bit of frost/sheen to it. It's really creamy and goes well on the lips.
Rose Romantique Blush
This shade of blush complements the lipstick very well. It's a nice pink with some fine shimmer in it which doesn't show up too much. It's a pretty fun color to wear and gives a very flattering blush to the cheeks. This color is in the permanent Blush Subtil line and can be bought separately.
Gris Fatal Eyeshadow Palette
I have to say that I always seem to like the quads that Lancome give out in 'gift with purchase' type events. They are well pigmented and quite soft so I was excited to own a new palette from them. Unfortunately this one isn't as good quality as some of the others I've experienced. The darker shades aren't as smooth as the rest the colors. The noticeable silver glitter when swatched makes this harder to wear for an everyday look but will make for a great evening out/party eye look. The colors go very well together and are very pretty shades but the base (top) color is very close to nude toned for my skin even though it has some silver glitter in it as well. Overall, not too bad though.
What gift sets have you picked up recently?
