I don't think perfumes made it anywhere near my radar all the way through highschool. I remember catching whiffs of the 'popular' girls as they walked through the halls and knew that perfume was a 'thing' but never bothered about it. Now that I think about it, I probably wouldn't have been able to spend $60+ on a fancy bottle of perfume then but I'm starting to realize more purse-friendly options are out there.
Apparently So...?Fragrances have been producing such wallet friendly options for a while now and they feature heavily in the UK market. I tried out So...?Sinful perfume ($10CDN, 30ml) and body spray ($5 CDN, 75ml) which Fragrantica lists this as a Floral Fruity Gourmand.
Base note: Vanilla, Praline, Musk
Heart note: Violet Strawberry
Top note: Mint, Pineapple
I tend to like deeper musky scents so I accurately predicted I would like this as well. I get a lot of Vanilla when I use it. Both have low sillage with the Body Spray version being lower and that tends to wear off faster than the perfume. Both aren't incredibly long lasting in general and you will need to reapply. They spritz out quite intensely and often I get some up my nose.
I can see a teen enjoying these options and keeping them in their locker. They are immediately easy on the wallet. However, if you tend to really reapply often, you will eat through these quickly and saving up for something longer lasting (and potentially more expensive) might be more economical in the long run.
Have you tried these perfumes before?
