Majolica Majora Puff de Cheek

One sad truth is that I will be swayed by adorable packaging and things that come from Asia. Slap on Japanese lettering, make it look like food and I'm halfway to buying it. Items from Shiseido's sister brand, Majolica Majorca, fall into that category. With princess golden packaging, I'm more than happy to make my way through the range and the Puff de Cheek blushes are a recent acquisition.

Even David, who notices nothing, saw the resemblance to macarons. I don't understand how macarons are worthwhile of ingestion (sorry) but I don't mind setting these on my vanity at all. Each circular tin reveals a powder puff and a swirl of blush color.

All these LE shades are slightly frosty and I was almost afraid to use them but when applied with the enclosed puff, the colors actually work quite well.  The outer edges of the puff pick up the highlighter shimmer while the center picks up more color. When the puff is placed on the cheek, each part of the color gradient seems to land on just the right spot and it worked a lot better than I expected.

Cherry Mix is somewhat berry in shade but still slightly red leaning.

Mandarin Mix is definitely orange.

Strawberry Mix is a cool light pink that's a bit youthful.

You may not need these and if you're afraid of any shimmer/frost I would stay away. The colors lasted through the day and blended out well, so the quality is there. It didn't feel overly frosty when blended but you can overdo it if you're not careful. I liked these more than I expected (I bought them really blind...another sad truth) and am glad I picked them up but might keep them for minimal make up looks since I'm slightly afraid of over applying.

Have you tried the Puff de Cheek?
