Pur Minerals Eye Polish in Cashmere* ($32CDN, 8ml) is a pure pigment eye primer and top coat which promises crease-proof long wearing eye shadow with a luminous metallic sheen. It comes with a smudge resistant silicone applicator and is supposed to build up with ease. It washes easily off under water.
The formula reminds me of the Dior Fluid Shadows but in a different format. The mousse like product sits inside a jar with a netted top. Pressing the applicator into the net dispenses the product. The net is quite flexible but I noticed that the product only fills have the jar and I'm wondering if it will be difficult to get out once the center part is used up (ie...how do I get into the sides of the jar?). I attempted to remove the white portion with the net but I don't think you can.
I don't think I need to worry about this drying out since the center of the cap completely covers up the net.
You can use the product as a base, alone, or as a top coat. The color swipes on like liquid and dries down quickly. It smooths on easily and builds up much better than the Dior Fluid Shadows which had the problem of lifting off the lid when a new layer was placed upon a previous layer of color. Fully coating the applicator is way too much product so I would start with a little and build us as needed later.
Cashmere is a great champagne color. It works extremely well on its own but is the perfect shade for inner corner highlighting and gives a nice metallic sheen that isn't too metallic.
I have used this under, on top and alone as suggested. It works well in all cases though my most preferred is alone or on top. This wears for an amazingly long period of time at almost 8 hours without creasing. For a fluid-like formula, that is incredible. The color, Cashmere, is a great all over shade that is good for a bare eyed look and nice for the inner corner. It works well dabbed onto the centre of the eye as well.
