Though it gets cold in Vancouver, it never gets much below zero. Even so, the cold here is seeping and I still need to moisturize. Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula is ubiquitous. It didn't really peak my interest but I've given a few options a try and there are some winners in the pack. I'm hosting a GIVEAWAY for my favorite item.
Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula* smells exactly like milk chocolate. The type of milk chocolate that can mix into hot chocolate. Its quite thick to squeeze out of the bottle and I've started to store it upside down to help the lotion flow. Still when smoothed onto the skin, its not heavy, absorbs well and moisturizes (but not for the 24hrs that it advertises). I haven't noticed that it smoothes marks or tones skins though I really like the scent.
The Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturizing Body Oil* ($5 CDN, 250ml) is supposed to absorb quickly, soften and smooth dry rough skin, contains Cocoa Butter and Vitamin E, and can be used in the bath as well. The pour format makes this a bit messy and I don't find it particularly moisturizing.
The Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Soothing Oil For Dry Itchy Skin* ($5 CDN, 150ml) is supposed to do the same things as the Moisturizing Body Oil but is more intensive and soothes dry itchy skin. My skin hasn't been too itchy so I can't attest to these claims and it doesn't absorb as quickly as I would like. I prefer the pump on this bottle.
---------
Of the three, I prefer the Lotion. The scent is great. I feel like it moisturizes better than the oils. I haven't tried many body oils and was very hesitant to try things that might seem greasy. In general, they oils were a nice introduction but I'm not a huge fan.
Giveaway:
Three winners will each receive one bottle of the Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion.
Entrants must be CANADIAN citizens only.
