I need to confess that I don't pay attention to lipstick formulas. There are a few colors in my stash that have formulas I'm not in love with but since the color is nice, I put up with it. This makes me an awful source of references but I've been trying to pay more attention, you know...for the blog 'cause ladies, we have options. One option worth mentioning is the Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting lipsticks.
The Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipsticks* ($34CDN) promises saturated color, time released continuous moisture and sculpted multi-faceted pigment. This is supposed to last six hours. The shades Dangerous and Confident are LE for Fall and you can find them at Sears or The Bay.
Dangerous* is a brown nude perfect for women of color but too brown and 90's for my skintone. Confident* is a great berry fuchsia that wasn't too intense for work and made a great color for a night out afterwards.
These lipsticks were a pleasure to apply. They glide on, revealing full pigmentation, and stay on during the day. Having an oily meal removed a lot of the lipstick but sipping from my cup didn't remove too much color. Creamy on and through the work day, my lips never felt dry and I didn't feel the need to apply balm until late into the afternoon (primarily out of habit). The magnetic cap will be a favorite for those who already like the clicky-snap of the Burberry lipsticks and a favorite of hand fiddlers everywhere.
Using these reminded me that I had options. I don't need to put up with any formulas for the sake of color (except sometimes...'cause you have to get your matte purples where you can....) and that better things are sometimes worth the price. This formula is worth giving a try on your lips.
Have you tried the Estee Lauder Lipsticks?
