The Body Shop Brazil Nut Beautifying Oil review

I know the oil craze is still going strong and though I didn't quite get on with the Fresh Seaberry version, I'm still open to trying out different oils, ESPECIALLY when they are from The Body Shop's Brazil Nut line.

The Body Shop Brazil Nut Beautifying Oil ($15 CDN) is an oil for face, body and hair, providing head-to-toe moisture. You can smooth some onto your damp body as a moisturizer, massage small amounts to your face, or run some through the ends of your hair as a treatment. The Body Shop has a great tips video to tell you even more things you can do with their oils.

The product comes in a bottle with a little opening. This is somewhat convenient but some product still dribbles out and down the sides of the bottle. A dropper would have been nice.

The Body Shop Brazil Nut Beautifying Oil review

So far, I've tried this on my hair, face AND body.

Hair: I mostly prefer it for my hair. It really leaves a shiny soft finish with an amazing smell.

Face: Only one drop rubbed into your hands and patted lightly on the face is enough. It absorbs well but there's a really really fine line between just enough and too much, which I often cross. It will leave your skin shiny after. If you're not so into that, bewares. It does seem to add a little extra moisture so maybe adding this into your pre-existing moisturizer would be one way to go.

Body: I've used this moisturize my hands and tried it as a cuticle treatment. Since it's runny, using it on my cuticles wasn't the best option and it left my hands greasy so I didn't really want to touch anything. Smoothing a very small amount onto my arms and legs was quite nice though.

All in all, a pretty interesting product. I'm still not experiencing super amazing things from this oil option but I like that it can be used for so many different things. Mostly I've been reserving it for my hair. You know how much I love the Brazil Nut scent so being able to smell it throughout the day is always a nice perk. Do you need this? Mmmm not really. But if you get on with oils already, this is an economical options which comes in a variety of scents.

Have you used these 'catch all' oils before? What's your favorite?
