For the sake of transparency, I got one of these as a PR sample but I can't remember which one.

L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes waterproof review carbon black

Here's another review I've been sitting on for ages. Claims about voluminous million lashes will peak my curiosity, L'Oreal, oh...curiosity is peeakked.

Testing, Testing...NSPA Skincare and Bath Giveaway

nspa hot cloth polish beauty illuminating serum daily scrub raspberry giveaway swatch review

Apparently Nspa is UK's No.1 Spa? Well, I didn't know that before but now I'm curious to see what they're all about if I ever get my butt across the pond. I was sent three NSPA products to try with a few extras for a little giveaway.

In the Moment #15: New at Guerlain

Makeup and skincare previews are fast becoming one of my favorite blogger perks. I'm not Beautezine,  my day to day isn't a full glamourous schedule of previews, interviews, and product write ups, so  when these little events pop into my calendar every now and then, I'm always excited. And when it's Guerlain that comes knocking, well...I can't RSVP fast enough.

Coastal Scents Beijing Palette

Coastal Scents Beijing Palette review

When Jen and I went to the FTB Beauty pop up store months ago, I didn't think I would buy anything (at least I wasn't the one with the spending ban, *cough, slides glances Jen* :P). But I'm a sucker for eyeshadows so when I saw the huge array of Coastal Scents Go Palettes, ($10CDN at FTB Beauty) one swatch led to another and I ended up with the Beijing variation.

Guest Post: Kalyn's Autumn Inspired Eye Makeup

Fall beauty, fall beauty -- to me, we're looking at this way too soon, but the fact of the matter is this...the leaves are changing here in Ottawa, and it is time to button up the jackets, snag a Pumpkin Spice Latte, and call it a day. Autumn has arrived -- maybe not officially for a few days (as of when I'm writing this post), but it is all but here in temperature and in spirit.

In honour of that spirit, I am sharing my autumnal look...a classic go-to eye combination that I seem to always choose by default once the weather shifts.

The Eyes Have It:
I absolutely looooove Maybelline's Color Tattoos and L'Oreal's Infallible shadow line. No doubt about that. I think that Jenn might share in my love of both lines, so it is befitting that I share my favourites here today!

Some Things Never Die...

...like the black knight, or vampires, or rock n'roll, or "True Love".
However much we know that all things come to an end, there are items in this world that we want to live or last forever.  There are also the things that I wish would just die already...
...like my ex best friend's grudge, or that cold I had during my Saskatoon vacation
...or my Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Primer Perfector sample.

Every day I gamble with my razor blades and laugh in the face of those thin metal sheets. Yes! I can get away without shaving for just one more day. 'Cause I'm lazy. 'Cause I couldn't be bother. 'Cause, whatever.

Blush Challenge Follow Up

Sometime ago, I started my Blush ChallengeIt was a great idea! I had all the right intentions to use what I had (and to discover what I could give away/sell).

Week 1

Discovered I did not like that ELF blush combo. Out of the blush box it goes. Success!

Sometimes It Takes a Few Tries - Lancome Lip Lover

When those new gloss hybrid things came out, I was on an unconscious mission to try them all. I know that Tiffany  has openly declared the Lancome versions as one of her top favorites so of course I had high hopes for the Lancome Lip Lover in Belle de Rouge.

Vera Wang Forever Vera Perfume review

Bottles of Vera Wang's Princess perfume leave me thinking that the look is just too...youthful for me. Nothing wrong with a nice big purple heart with a crown, don't get me wrong. But it has been many years since that time I've dotted my I's with a heart in elementary school and promptly decided it looked awful. However, I can get on board with the latest Forever Vera, Vera Wang* perfume and not only because of it's aesthetics.

Marcelle Ideal Skin Perfector review

I'm not entirely sure why...but my pores have gotten, you know...maybe just... the tiniest, insiest bit larger lately...BUT JUST A LITTLE.  Ok not really...there are craters that would put the moon to shame so its nice when a skincare product can do a little something to help rectify this situation *makes circling hand motions at face*

In the Moment #12: What's In Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan! Let me tell you about a strange place where they call it "supper" not "dinner", where you will see more roadkill in 10 days than in your entire city-living life and where your main roadside attractions on the highway to Saskatoon are ...

Herbal Essences Naked 0% Shine Shampoo and Conditioner* review

Even while I was having my torrid love affair with Fekkai, I knew that all good things come to an end evenually. As the last adulterous hair washing approached, my roving eyes were ready to start exploring new hair possibilities with maybe some of the same perks that I've experienced before (such is the fickle hair lover that I am).

Guest Post: Sarah's FOTD

Hello, I'm Sarah from Workaday Ramblings. Jenn was kind enough to let me take over today with a simple yet colourful look.

I really like experimenting with colour, and have recently discovered a love for orange cheeks and lips as they tend to look fresh and vibrant. When I think orange makeup, I immediate think of pairing it with green, not sure why. I may have blue eyes, but they have enough green and grey in them that I find myself grabbing at all the green eye products.

Guest Post: I Can Always Rely On You ft. Daphne

And for today's Guest Post, we have Daphne who as a nice blog of her own and was one of my very first commenters. Remember to check her out :)

At the risk of making my life sound sad, switching up my daily makeup and playing with new products is a main source of fun for me. But that said, there are the days when you just can't be bothered - changing out of the jammies is already a burdensome task and the idea of spending time to pick out which beauty products to use just makes me want to headdesk. Not that I've actually left a bruise on my forehead before. On days like that, I always reach for the ones that I know I can rely on and know it's near impossible to screw up.

Guest Post: CREAM BLUSH CRAZY ft Zoe

Hi! I'm Zoƫ and I blog over at Writing Whimsy where you would quickly learn a few things about me: I love unicorns, purple nail polish, and cream blushes. Obviously one of my favourite posts on Jenn's blog is her Glitter Unicorns one, but today I've gone with sharing four great cream blushes, two budget and two high end.

Guest Post: L'Oreal Color Riche Wet Quads ft Alicia

And here is Alicia, who I have been following since the first day makeup appealed to me. Extra points go to her for being Canadian.

Hey Everyone,

I'm so excited to be filling in for Jenn while she is away on vacation. Jenn, one of my favourite fellow Canadian bloggers, has done several amazing guest posts on my blog, Funny Face Beauty, so I am more than happy to return the favour.

While I am always looking for the next best deal when it comes to hoarding buying makeup products, I have never been a big fan of drugstore eyeshadows. Often dry and under pigmented, I've come to the conclusion that I would rather spend my money on one good high-end eyeshadow palette or quad, than waste it on several mediocre drugstore palettes. Well, drugstore lovers unite, because I have finally found a drugstore shadow that can stand toe-to-toe with its higher-end rivals: L'Oreal's new 'Colour Riche Wet Quads'
