Holiday Lip Considerations (ft. Essence Long Lasting Lipstick and XXXL Shine Gloss)*

Two lip considerations for the holidays:
1) Long lasting color through all your partying needs
and/or
2) High shine on the lips.

If this is you, and why wouldn't it be, there are two ranges in the Essence line that you might want consider.

The Essence Long Lasting Lipsticks* ($2.99CDN) are truly long lasting and they have the perfect amount of creaminess that I like (in other words lip hugging, smooth application, mid-level creaminess). At $2.99 these are AMAZING. I like my luxury lip items as much as anyone else but it continues to blow my mind that really good products cost less than $5. The Essence lipstick line is worth it.

On the Catwalk is a red with a slight lean towards brown. Its a great wearable red that isn't too loud and dark (but not too dark) enough for fall.
Wear Berries is a mauvy berry shade. Its the type of color I really love. In the photos it looks a bit lighter than it is in real life.

The Essence XXXL Shine Glosses* ($2.99CDN) is indeed quite shiny. The gloss is medium-high but the pigment doesn't always apply evenly.

True Love is like the gloss version of On the Catwalk
Big Night Out is a frosty pale MLBB shade. It slipped into lip lines right away

I really think the Essence lipsticks can contend with a lot of more expensive lip products I've tried. The XXXL Shine Glosses though are not my favorite formula. The shine factor is great but the color pigment doesn't always distribute evenly and some shades can look quite frosty.

Have you tried items from Essence?
