If there was every a time for sparkly, the Holidays would be it. Though I may tread carefully with glitter on the face, glitter on the nails always works but even more so when the weather dips low and the streets are twinkling with lights.
A while back I was experimenting with some glitter polishes I had and happily "accidented" a great Holiday nail combo when I was randomly pairing colors together. Sally Hansen's Fool's Gold* is a wonderfully warm near copper, rose gold and a thin topping of Dior's State of Gold* with its silver fleck made for a nice contrast.
Both polishes have a great brush. The Sally Hansen shade applied smoothly while Dior was a bit more finicky. There was some glitter picking involved and I decided that swiping the excess off the brush made the glitter easier to handle.
Still though, foibles aside, the pairing of a warm rosy hue with a more icy glitter gave the right level of crispness to match the air and the season.
What's your perfect holiday nail pairing?
