Clarins Ladylike 2014 Autumn MakeUp Collection

Clarins?! What are you doing?! You can't have production photos like the one below and NOT make me want to be a societal Bostonian wife, a New Englander who brunches before heading to class at Yale or a diplomatic aide in foggy Maine. Somehow I have forgotten just how enticing and "ladylike" soft neutrals could be and I want to be in the "ladies who lunch" crowd goddamn it (but you know...the kind with a high powered job and a few degrees under her belt).

Just look at her....no seriously, look at her. I'm getting all kinds of feels and thoughts of switching my life and lifestyle.  This girl's got no time for fussin'. She's saving the world, making business deals or writing her PhD and she's doing it with grace, style and with her pinkies up when drinking tea. She's either some of those people I've listed or a mother f*cking spy who can't wear color during her cover job (at a bank, obvs) so keeps it sexy with neutrals (deadly sexy). She is a lady (who kicks ass).

Clarin's launched a whole new permanent bunch of Ombre Matte ($24, 30ml) cream to powder eyeshadows for their "Ladylike" line. I got to try Nude Pink and Earth which are perfect compliments that go on smoothly and stay on without creasing. The cream to powder thing really works! Blendable and smooth on the lid, I quite liked how these performed and have been wearing them all week.

Pair that neutral matte eye with a pretty pink lipstick in a gorgeous formula, like their Rouge Eclat Candy Rose ($27) just saying, add some brightness with the Instant Light Brush-On Perfector ($36) and you've got a foolproof, damn pretty look.

ARRGGHH thanks Clarins. Thanks for making me want everything in this launch and thanks for reminding us how neutral matte eyes, feminine lip colors and click-of-a-pen touch up brightness is so simple but also so kick ass. Now, excuse me while I try and figure out what it takes to be an interpreter at the United Nations.

Will you be picking up anything from their new Autumn Collection? There's a blush, eyes shadow quad, more lipsticks and eyeshades to choose from.

Do you do "pretty"? (Because clearly you should...)
