Emily Noel loves her Mally's Automatic Eyeliner because of how they are always self sharpen. WAIT, how do they always stay sharp? She never explains and I am constantly left like Alicia Silverstone in a 90's yellow plaid kilt. I honestly thought she was deceiving me but  I HAVE SOLVED THE RIDDLE thanks to Annabelle.

Annabelle's Stay Sharp Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner and Lipliner ($9.95 each) will be sharp every time you use it. There's a sharpener in the lid! As the cap twists on and off, the product gets sharpened. Its like you never used it. If only some other parts of my life could be 'undone' with a twist of a cap. Annabelle, get on that.

The eyeliner tugs slightly but the self-sharpening aspect is a real draw and I'm considering getting the other colors. It's safe to use and stays on the waterline. It also held without any creasing through the entire work day and then some.

The lipliner goes on smoothly and leaves a matte finish. It isn't moisturizing but it isn't excessively drying. It's suppose to be transfer proof and my tried and true 30 min kiss proof testing technique revealed that light kissing is ok but the transfer is a little more for very heavy kissing. No touch up is needed. If you apply then blot, I'd say these were functionally transfer resistant but don't go crazy.

Both lines are quite thin and you can get some precision if it weren't for the tugging on the eyelid. The only other downside to these is the amount of product in each (0.25g). Compared to a regular 1.2g lip and eyeliner that's not a lot, even if you lose a little less product when sharpening them with the build in sharpener. Otherwise, as far as helpful and 'innovate' goes, these are good pick.

Did you ever wonder how liners promised to stay sharp or sharpen themselves? Does the self-sharpening aspect draw you in?
