Diorskin Star Concealer

I had the Diorskin Star Concealer 002 Beige ($40CDN, 0.20oz) on my radar since Sunny loved it so much and talked about how it never creased on her. I didn't purchase it since I was still working on a tube of Make Up For Ever's Full Cover but my mom got it as a gift, didn't need it and gave it to me!

After only using a heavy cream concealer, MUFE's Full Cover, I wasn't sure how anything less in thickness could cover up my bags and pimples. I never had a problem with creasing concealer until last summer. The appearance of fledgling eye wrinkles meant things were creasing when previously they were not - the first signs of the downhill slide into aging.

The shade 002 initially suited me perfectly. The creamy consistency applied well with the applicator. I'd tap a dot under each eye and *pat pat* to blend. Though Sunny didn't find this creased, it did crease on me if I used too much. A thinner layer worked well and stayed on for the duration of the day. I usually powdered over it (I sort of like the Dior Fix It since I don't need to powder over that).

I was pleased enough with it to start. Not a 'must have' but it did a good job on pimples (nothing has been that amazing) and lasted just about the same as MUFE on those areas. I likee that the texture was thinner but still covered.

But there are a few downsides to this product. I've had my bottle for a couple of months now and the color is starting to separate. Color redistribution is difficult with the tiny bottle and though the color suited me for a while, it became more and more pink.  Also this tube is NOT travel friendly. Product always gunks up in the cap if you've placed it upside down or on its side and can leak out (which for a cream, is quite surprising). This has been pretty annoying and for these two reasons, I'm thinking of moving on from it.

Daily Zen: I was a bit late in reading this but the Speech from the Throne is incredibly straightforward to read. Honestly, even those not so interested in politics will find this easily digestable.
