Dior Fix It*

dior fix it 2-in-1 prime and conceal review

Just fix it! If only it were that easy. I still haven't figured out the perfect way to conceal pimples. They're raised, usually have flaky skin around the perimeter and concealer seems to vanish so much faster on white heads or dried pimpled areas than they do on any other part of my face. I was hoping that the new Dior Fix It 2-in1 Pimer and Conceal* ($40CDN, 0.12oz) would be a good solution.

The Dior Fix It* is supposed to be a primer and concealer for face, eyes and lips. Either used as a base or for daily touch ups, the concealer is supposed to fill in pores and correct pigmentation issues. On the lips, the help fill in lip grooves for increased lipstick hold. The shades come in 001 Light, 002 Medium and 003 Dark.

The center of Fix It holds a formula which contains a powder while the outer perimeter is a full coverage concealer.  The product glided on very easily and instantly dried to powder! This effect surprised me since I was expecting a creamy product which stayed creamy until I powdered.

I've used both the Light and Medium shades. Right now, Light is too light for me and where it has been applied is very obvious on my skin when I use that shade (it basically looks like white patches). Its great for under the eyes and as my skin become less tan, it might work better. Medium works well on my face right now.

I've used Fix It over pimples and it does cover them alright at first but it doesn't seem to last during the day. It covers well for something that isn't thick, doesn't feel heavy and isn't super creamy based! The product works great to brighten my under eye areas and application is amazingly easy. This is a great product to put into the purse for touch ups and I really like how this dries down immediately (so swipe and blend right after).

What do you use for concealer touch ups?
