It's interesting that my tastes still change over time in leaps and bounds and not just by degrees. Maybe because I became comfortable using the more cool toned Dior holiday palette (review to come) or maybe for some other reason, but I'm liking the cooler tone of Burberry's Khaki Green ($33CDN, 0.09oz) eyeshadow even though I've traditionally favoured warmer shades.
I mentioned why I purchased this in my video but if you need the reminder, this green, featured in the Burberry Autumn/Winter Runway palette, is much more pigmented in the single format than in the palette. Though I'm in decluttering mode, Burberry shadows are my most A+ HG type shadow formula (yes even over the MUFE's) and though pricy, I like to treat myself now and then.
I like using this shade as a day smokey eye. Place this on the main lid with a matte camel or other brown transition color through the crease; you're ready to go. The shade when wet is more intense but even when dry, this is still pigmented and a lovely military green. The pigment is super buttery just as I've experience with other Burberry shadows.
When I touch a brush to a pan of Burberry shadow, my heart stops. They are so so well formulated, and the very definition of buttery (which has been bandied about by many but often not lived up to the word). Even though I dislike having singles, I love these so much I don't even care. I might treat myself with a four shade quad one day eventually.
What's your HG eyeshadow formula?
