When I was using the Elizabeth and James Nirvana (White)* Scent, I couldn't quit help but feel like it was what the Burberry My Burberry Eau de Toilette was aspiring to be. Between the two there are familiar notes. That's not sufficient for a dupe alert but it does help.
Nirvana White* ($72CDN, 30ml) is a floral woody musk scent. It was signed by Honorine Blanc who also created Forever Vera, which I enjoy. The notes include peony, lily of the valley and musk. While My Burberry opens with a hit of brightness which fades far too quickly, Nirvana White is soft like cashmere from start to finish. I like this, but I'm not convinced I love it and sometimes wonder if it makes me smell much older than my years. Some people have noted hints of green and yes they are there but not in a really verdant sort of way.
The Eau de Parfum has some good longevity and has medium sillage. Its not filling the room but isn't particular intimate either, a good balance, I think. There is also a rollerball ($30CDN, 10ml) and Perfume Oil ($42CDN, 14ml) option for those who like to layer or take things on the go. Sephora carried a set of these three items for $90CDN.
Nirvana White? or have you tried Nirvana Black?
