Nexxus, Kerastase and Shu Uemura: Winter Hair Options to Protect, Reconstruct or Thicken

Toronto taught me that dry hair is a real affliction. Until I lived there, I never gave my hair a second thought. The wonderful temperate climate of Vancouver keep my hair tamed and generally "regular". The near-Siberian temperatures of Toronto had me battling static fly-aways and brittle strands. I never knew I had to care for my hair until I lived a winter in TO and tried this and this to solve my problems. So if you are in that situation, consider these three options to protect, reconstruct or thicken your hair in crisis.

 Garnier's new Deconstructed line promises a done-yet-undone look with 24 hour touchable, deconstructed style with a soft satin finish. Having tried a pseudo-perm (where I waffled for about 20 mins at the salon and the dresser decided to finally imitate a perm by blowdrying so I could get a sense of how it would look before I committed....) I realized I wanted to do something NEW with my hair. I like my hair generally but I just wanted something different so instead of opting for the perm (though I still just may) going with styling products seemed an inexpensive alternative.

When I go on vacation I usually take the opportunity to bring sachets of samples to use. They're portable and sometimes come in the exact amounts you need for the trip. I had blindly grabbed a shampoo/conditioner sachet when I went to Montreal last August not realizing what it was. When I blew my hair dry I was sort of surprised by how voluminous my hair turned out!
