In Korea, we only stayed in Seoul and lived with David's friends from when he taught there. Seoul was easily my favorite location out of our entire trip. There is a vibrant dynamic atmosphere that only Asian mega-cities have and though I've been to Hong Kong, Seoul is a cut above in my humble opinion. We ate a lot. We shopped a lot.
