Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel with Marula Oil review

Honestly, I feel like I'm on a mission to test out all the cleansing oils out there. Does it show? Next up  is the Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel with Marula Oil. I know I won't shut up about my FANCL (which has sadly, come to an end) but I might have found something that is comparable.

Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel ($36 CDN, 125ml) is a water based triple texture cleanser remover which transforms from gel, to oil, to milk. (Can I just interject the ad speak and say the mind, is blown.) It melts away every trace of excess oil, impurities and even heavy makeup. Marula Oil offers radiance and comfort.

Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel with Marula Oil review

OK OK. This gel is actually THE BOMB. A few of the SA's at Shoppers were going on about it but I didn't pay any attention until I finally got to try it out. You honestly get to experience all three phases of this product. It squeezes out as a thick gel (even thicker than the FANCL) which melts on your face and applies like a cleansing oil. When washed off it emulsifies into a milky emulsion. I used this after a long day in the sun in Cancun and it got off all my gross sweaty sunscreen, liquid foundation and powder, and waterproof eye makeup!

At $0.29/ml this is priced quite closely to FANCL ($0.30/ml) and more expensive
than the Shu Uemura Fresh Pore ($0.23/ml). I wish there was a pump since overzealous tube-squeezing might use up more of the gel per use. Can I also add that the cap on this thing is intense? There's no spilling this baby. If you're in the market for a cleansing oil I recommend this!

Tell me, why are the best things in life more often than not, pricier?
