The annual Aritiza warehouse sale, a special event that most Vancouverite women and their mothers will flock to each fall. Prices under 50% call out and lure shoppers through the doors. The aisles and aisles of disorganized clothing keep girls trapped until they surface again 5 hours later, parched, hungry, and poorer. Remember to tell your family where you went because while you thought you'd just "take a look", you were never more wrong.

Blindly Buying Glasses Online - A Firmoo Experience*
*Press Sample
I've long avoided buying glasses online. While everyone else can score free first pairs and low priced frames, there were many fears for my very high prescription that kept me from trying.
For someone with a -6.00 and -6.50 prescription, I'm practically blind without glasses. When I misplace them, its not a simple activity to find them again. Its a nose to the ground and senseless groping of the floor type activity where a mild panic can settle into my heart as I contemplate never being able to see a Korea drama on my computer screen again. On top of that, having such a high prescription means that I need the thinnest lenses possible and the awkward symmetry of my head means I always need help adjusting the frames to my face.
There were many reasons to avoid blindly buying glasses online.

The Watch Edit
Have you seen the number of watches that have randomly popped up on social media? I definitely took notice of the Daniel Wellingtons out there but I balked at paying $200USD for a random fashion watch brand that seemingly came out of nowhere. At the end of the day, watches are investment pieces and I want to buy from a brand that been around for a while.
I have to admit that the increasingly #instafamous flat faced menswear watch is very appealing to me so I attempted to find more affordable options from reputable watch makers.

Veiled Beanies
I have been completely in love with the veiled beanie ever
since I saw a DIY
version on Style Scrapbook. Probably
inspired by Chanel
and Giambattista
Valli there’s something chic about the combination of the urban beanie and
the feminine throwback of veiled eyes. Not a beauty trend but Chanel and Valli
give us a good idea of how to wear veiled looks during the Spring 2015 runway
shows.

On Style Ruts and Wardrobe Architects
I don't often broach the subject of style. Like I mentioned before, I do like that "basic bitch" sort of look but lately I've been in such a work style rut. If I have to wear another patterned shirt under embellished sweater combo, someone better shoot me because my tolerance for work appropriate prep is nearing an end. And that is where Wardrobe Architect and Into Mind's 10 Step Wardrobe Revamp and workbook might come in handy.

Some Stylin' People
Often tag posts ask for style icons. Often people cite Audrey. Often I don't know how to respond.
I use to have a giant girl boner for Kate Lanphear. I was all in girl crush love over her grungy designer rock style But lately she hasn't been as prevalent on my radar. Since I mostly read blogs instead of fashion spreads, I've finally given it a think and here are some of the people whose wardrobes inspire my own.
