Half of this beauty business is simply about appreciating how pretty some things are. Let's not kid ourselves and just accept this skin layer and brain cell reduced side of our personalities. Hold hands, sing Kumbaya, no one is judging.

When you show me high end products, a slow drool trail may just start developing as I gape in admiration (like I've repeatedly mentioned, I've never said I was glamorous, nor sanitary, nor a lot of other things. This list seems to get progressively longer as I continue to blog). And when you show me YSL, well...the heart does patter just a touch faster.  I'd be remise if I didn't offer the opportunity to share this corruptly plain joy, so here is my little current YSL family.

Current Favorite Pairing: YSL Glossy Stain 109 and WetnWild Pearlescent Pink

I'm pretty scattered and inconsistent with my makeup use. More likely than now I will use different color products every day, rather than the certain items repeatedly. But sometimes a pairing will make me pause and go "Oh yea...we need to do this again." The last time I was this enamoured with a lip/blush pairing was about a year ago when I discovered the perfect berry pair but now I have found a great peach-pink-goldy option.

A Dive Off the Deep End With YSL Pur Couture #52

You can safely commit me to the mental institute now. For realz, I have taken a dive off the deep end and am admitting it openly. I, Jenn Fong, renouncer of corals, fearer of brights, frugal (typically) of spending, have bought the YSL Pur Couture lipstick in #52. I did this without trying it on. without swatching it in store, without anything more than adrenaline and bad sense pumping in my veins. I walked in there, slammed my money on the counter, and ordered it to be rung up like a boss.
