Trying to Keep Dry (ft.Bio Beauty Refreshing Deodorant*)

A review of the Bio Beauty by Nuxe Refreshing Deodorant.

The Bio Beauty by Nuxe Refreshing Deodorant* ($13CDN, 50ml) landed in the mailbox and I was faced, again, with the struggle of appreciating natural deodorants. I really want to like you!

Some people do crazy things to reduce sweating, like injecting botox into their underarms (botox...in your underarms...seriously!) or using treatments where aluminum strength leaves burn marks on the skin. No-one thinks sweating is attractive but come on, its a necessary body function. Completely cancelling sweat or allowing it to flow freely are both unappealing, and that is my dilemma with natural deodorants. I still haven't found a natural deodorant that can keep me dry when compared to a conventional product.

Lip Conditioning: Working Hard for that Lipstick

Lip prep isn't something I care too much for aside from regular day-to-day maintenance. Lipsticks should work for me and not the other way around. But when lips are constantly looking cracked even under the best of lipstick formulas, then I'm sorry but "Its not you, its me." The latest Dior Holiday Diorific shade Charm* ($46CDN) (perhaps finally a peach shade I can get behind when all others have washed me out) made me realize this and I had to break out the big guns which promised overnight lip conditioning results.

Nuxe Rêve de Miel Face Cleansing and Make-up Removing Gel review

As my bottle of DHC Deep Cleansing Oil runs low, I've been thinking about which makeup remover to use next. Since the Nuxe Rêve de Miel Face Cleansing and Make-up Removing Gel* ($19CDN, 200ml) landed on my door a few weeks ago, it seemed like as good an option as anything else. DHC is a hard act to follow. As one of my favorite cleansing oils, DHC always rinses clean and I never worry about residual makeup or breakouts.
