Current Cleansing Oils

cleansing oil options

Since discovering cleansing oils, they are a must have and you will have a hard time convincing me that they aren't necessary. I don't often try to have multiple bottles open at the same time but here are the current oil cleansers in my shower space.

Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel*
I'm still getting through this one and it works well but I've grown less in love with it. Simply there are things that work a bit better and a little quicker. This viscous gel melts into a oil and washes off, a silicone pore pad seems necessary to really get everything off sometimes.

L'Occitane Shea Cleansing Oil
People have been raving about this and I'm happy to have won it from Rae's giveaway. I am openly declaring my  biased towards asian cleansing oils but will admit that I'm...pleasantly impressed...with this so far. As the first Western option that has actually worked as expected, it also gets some more points for being at least, not more, expensive than my most favorite and nicely scented.

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil
This was the first cleansing oil I ever tried and it was a revelation. Olive oil based, this thick oil gets everything off and doesn't leave a residue. Its annoying to procure but I recently discovered that it's sold in some T&T grocery stores. Score!

Mika for Shu Anti/Oxi Skin Refining Cleansing Oil
Knowing my love for cleansing oils, Steph kindly donated (because I'm clearly in need) this to me. Still haven't cracked into it yet, the 400ml bottle is bit daunting and I'm still making my way through the other three.  My first Shu cleansing oil didn't leave me with a positive impression so I'm curious to see if another formula will work better.

I'm also dabbling in the new Micellar Cleansing Oil from Vichy which is showing some major promise.
