Dior's 808 Purple Design Palette* ($63CDN) is my second favorite of the lot. Here are my general opinions of these palettes. Again, the color combo, like Nude Pink Design, give a more contrasted look instead of the gradients we found in the blue, green or taupe palette, and that is the type of looks I prefer.
To recap:
This palettes contain 5 colors, a base, two satin shadows, a shimmery illuminator and a gel liner. they are supposed to be sheer and meant to be layered. Each palette is built around a harmony of one shade in various semi-tones for a color gradient look.
This color combination is outrightly feminine and very bubble. It makes me think of spring/summer dresses or bubble gum pop music and girl bands. Its more feminine than I'm used to but I'm liking the contrast between the pink and purple shades. Because the shades lean more bright, the highlighter shade seems more thoughtfully paired and the glitter isn't as harsh. Maybe not a completely unique color combination but from the set of 5 so far, this has strong preference. This palette performed slightly better than the rest of the palettes. The shades were a bit less sheer and the gel liner was slightly more opaque.
