Along with the pretty Spring eyeshadow Palette, Clarins has launched two new lip products this Spring, Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector and Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in Honey. Lip oils have been entering into the market lately so I was pleased to try one version of these products and let me say these both are winners!
Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector in Rose* ($22CDN, 1.8g) contains mange and shea butter to nourish and illuminates the lips. It protects, moisturizes and smoothes lips with an instant "3D Radiance". The balm melts onto the lips and give subtle color and shine.
This balm smells and feels really good. I think it's vanilla or some dessert. The balm stick is easy to use and Rose imparts a light pink tint to the lips. I've been reaching for this so frequently. It's nourishing and moisturizes for a good duration of the day. I love how light it feels on my lips.
Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in Honey* ($23CDN, 7ml) is enriched with fatty acids, hazelnut, mirabelle and organic jojoba oils to prevent lip dehydration. Lips are soothed and given a high shine. It's supposed to give a plumping effect and I think this is mostly a visual effect rather than a physical plumping sensation.
The lip applicator is a fat little paddle which is the cutest thing to use. People find miniatures adorable but I tend to find bulbous or bubble large things quite cute as well. The oil is thick but very comfortable. I dab a little onto the centre of my lips and mush them around. I can feel the oil softening dry patches as I continue to use it and it's not sticky or greasy. The finish gives very pretty shine to the lips and I'm seriously reaching for this every morning and every evening.
Both these releases are hits with me. I like the novelty of the oil, and both have been good moisturizers for my lips. Worth considering if you're thinking of some new lip protector products.
Have you tried any of the lip oil releases yet? Curious about them?
