Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette

The first two Vice palettes didn't really appeal to me. The colors were a bit too...colorful but the latest variation, Vice 3 ($~70CDN) has just the right amount of neutral and colors to make it useful for a variety of purposes.

Housed in a plastic palette in a wonderfully imprinted canvas pouch, the Vice 3 palette has five rows of four shadows for 20 in total, along with a dual ended shadow brush.

The formula is surprisingly powdery. Even when lightly picking up color with a brush, a lot of product gets kicked up regardless of color. I've learned to press into the pans to try and reduce this but there seems to be no way around it. Granted colors are pigmented and very blendable but I almost  always get too much on my brush.  The first 'matte' row is not really matte since there are some scattered fine fine glittery throughout. There rest of shimmery and glittery shadows.

In general, though this kicks up a lot of dust, I'm really quite pleased with this palette. I've created about 5 looks (including this one) for the blog and spent most of my holiday vacation wearing this or the Make Up For Ever Artist Palette. Though it seems really colorful, there is great flexibility with these colors and more than a handful of natural looks can be created. I'm a fan for sure and am pretty glad I purchased this.

More looks to come!

Have you picked this up?
