Warning: Masked selfies after the jump, so don't freak out.
On top of providing their subscription box, Memebox has started developing their own skincare products and the Mememask* ($3) seems to one of the first things out the door.
The Intensive Moisturizing Hydrogel Mask is interesting to put on. It's got a gelatinous feel and makes me think of the coconut jelly that goes into bubble tea. The mask is held together by a woven material but the inside facing portion that touches your skin is the jelly substance. I actually kinda like it!
There are two seperate portions and the mask is supposed to provide long term dry skin relief. Niacinamide and Adenosine illuminates and firms. Aloe Vera moisturizes. Chamomile and Baobab tree seed extract strengthen and protect the skin. Place it on for 20-40mins and you're good to go.
My skin has been in definite need of more moisture. After using this my skin was soft, supple and there was a slight matte tackiness from the serum as I left it dry on my face after removal. That feeling persisted throughout the day until I washed my face again. Not sure how I feel about that but otherwise, I quite liked how this worked and would suggest giving it a go. I'm a fan of the gel texture which was soft on the skin, very comfortable and just plain neat.
I hate mask selfies...LOL. You never look good.
