By the time I realized how awesome Chanel's Blush in Intonation was after borrowing it from Vanessa, it had already sold out. Nothing quite like the words "sold out" to make me try even harder to find the product or something similar. Vanity Rouge suggested that the Maybelline Master Glaze in Coral Sheen made for a great dupe and I had to compare for myself.
Chanel's Intonation is a great coral, peach leaning blushing and so is Maybelline's Coral Sheen. Once you blend both out, the base color is exactly the same but the finish is different.
Maybelline offers a bit more sheen to the face. You can see micro (very micro) shimmers if you lean in closely but you don't look like a glitter ball at all. Chanel's is less dimensional which some people may enjoy more.
I prefer Chanel's just a touch more and I actually own both after swapping an item for Intonation on MakeUpAlley. I guess they're close enough though Maybelline's seems slightly darker in the swatch but on the face, it really doesn't make a difference. For those who have been on the hunt for Intonation, Coral Sheen is a good option if you don't mind the difference in finish. BUT if you are one of those people that needs something to be 100% the same, you might be slightly disappointed.
How close of a dupe do you look for? Do they have to be EXACTLY the same? Or are you willing to allow some small differences?
