FOTD #7: 'Cause All We Have is L'Oreal*

*Press samples featured

Well not really. I didn't have a L'Oreal brow pencil so forgive me. I like the idea of Essie's Brand focus videos so I thought it would be neat to see if I could do a full face with just one brand. So here is a full face (almost) with just L'Oreal products and some first impressions on these items.

Eyes:
L'Oreal Color Riche Eyeshadow - Perpetual Nude*
L'Oreal Super Liner Gelmatic - Taupe Grey*
L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Defining Volume Mascara*
L'Oreal Perfect Match Touche Magique Illuminating Concealer - Natural Beige*

Face:
L'Oreal Visible Lift Blur Foundation - Creamy Natural*
L'Oreal Visible Lift Blur Blush - Soft Berry*
L'Oreal Perfect Match Touche Magique*

Lips:
L'Oreal Color Riche Collection Privee Lipstick - Jennifer's Nude*

I got a natural look and some good berry coloring with the products I was sent. This was the first time I tried the Visible Lift Blur line. Though the blush looks really pretty, its chock full of silicones which makes it really blendable. People with allergies beware. The foundation was supposed to instantly blur lines and uneven texture. You can see it clinging to a really bad dry patch on the side of my nose (but really, everything is going to cling to that). It sat slightly heavily on my skin but your face was very smooth and silky ('cones...). Musing of a Muse really liked this for her dry skin but it accentuated my dry patches.

The Voluminous Million Lashes Defining Volume Mascara gave me some length but not the volume I was expecting, especially not the 'million' lashes I was hoping for. A natural look.

I quite liked the Super Liner Gelmatic. It doesn't give me as intense a finish as traditional gel in a pot but it goes on very smoothly with no tugging. The very thin tip makes precision easy, worth a look at the store. The grey is a nice change up from my black and browns.

I'm thinking of doing a more thorough review of the Color Riche Eyeshadow Quads. Tell me if that's interesting to you. In general, the pan is quite dry but the color comes out well and blendable. I find this neutral quad very wearable and have used this wet as well. You get a little more intense color but I found blending slightly more difficult that way. These quads give some versatility since sheerer, but still noticeable, applications are allowed when you don't use primer.

The Color Riche Collection Privee Lipstick line is wonderfully packaged. The matte black with gold accents add some elegance and JLo's nude is my perfect color! If you're not swimming in nudes already, there will probably be a shade for everyone in this line, with even the lightest and darkest of skin shades matched.

So, which brand do you own enough of that you could do a full face with? Have you tried any of these products? What do you think?

Daily Zen: Sticky sesame chicken wings. Yup, that's gonna be dinner sometime next week.
