Mary Kay Mineral Eye Color ballerina pink, stone, driftwood, french roast, rose gold swatch review

The first time I saw Mary Kay Mineral Eye Colors was two years ago poking around my roommates makeup. I loved the portable individual snap plastic cases and the ability to fit each pan into a custom palette.

Mary Kay Mineral Eye Colors ($8) are mineral based shadows. The long-lasting, fade-resistant shades give intense, crease-resistant colour in a single swipe and contain Vitamins A, C and E.  They`ve just launched 5 new shades.

As far as new shade launches go, I was surprised the brand didn`t have these colors already. Something like Rose Gold and French Roast should sit in everyone`s neutrals collection while Driftwood and Stone make awesome blending shades. Tan browns and dove-grays are colors I use most often for transition shades and I highly recommend shades like these.

They swatch quite intensely but I found the color a little more muted on my lids. They aren`t sheer by any means and can be build up easily if one swipe doesn`t do it for you.
What are your transition shades? And your "must have" shades?
