Learning that exfoliators are an important part of keeping the pores unclogged is a relatively new discovery for me. I knew exfoliation was something I should do now and again but I always forget.
The Garnier Clean+ Balancing Gel Exfoliator purifies the T-zone and softens dry patches. The gel deeply cleanses away oil and impurities while the grapefuit and pomegranate infused formula softens dray areas. Excess oil is removed and after 1 week, skin texture is refined and the complexion is balanced. This oil-free product is formulated for combination skin.
This exfoliator isn't harsh but also wouldn't be classified as super gentle either. Even though the scrubby bits aren't highly concentrated in the gel, I can still feel them over my skin. They are extremely fine and the gel is a great vehicle. The product smooths and glides over the face very easily. The grapefuit scent is quite pleasant and refreshing. After rinsing, this leaves a clean feeling. It doesn't give that tight squeaky clean feel and does a good job of removing rough patches without creating more.
The real test of this product was testing it on the bf's congested pores. This actually lifted out the top layer of the sebum in the pores on his nose and left a good clean feel. This is winning! If you're looking for a straightforward exfoliator that isn't too harsh and could almost be used everyday (but I still wouldn't), this is a great drugstore option!
What do you look for in exfoliators? Which are you loving?
