Eyes on Pacifica*: Stellar Gaze Mascara and Fringe, Gun Metal and Bare Eye Pencils

Pacifica Stellar Gaze length and strength Mascara and Fringe, Gun Metal and Bare Eye Pencils review

Pacifica has been slowly branching out of their body care products to produce makeup and recently they launched a few new eye products. Firstly, can we just give some points to the graphic designs?

These eye pencils promise to be waterproof, buttery and smooth. They are made of jojoba oil, shea butter, vitamin E and vitamin C. The brand 'curated' these colors to produce universal natural liner looks.

As more traditional pencil liners, these don't have the gel or creamy liner formula of say Urban Decay or Make Up For Ever. Even so, the pencils glide on well and last all day on non-primed lids. They did fade away when used on the waterline though. In a waterproof-and-rub test, Bare didn't quite make it through the trial. Fringe and Gun Metal did fade slightly with rubbing but for all practical purposes they held up well enough. The color is well pigmented but two passes produced a better result than just one. Though not my favorite formula, these are good for the price point and are pretty solid in general. Bare and Gun Metal make great lower lash line colors and Fringe is a can't-go-wrong matte brown that everyone should have in their stash.

If you like Benefit's They're Real, chances are you will really like this formula (and if you don't, you'll probably like it too). This promises a long lasting, non-clumping formula which hydrates your lashes with coconut oil and vitamin B. The mascara builds up quite well, did not smudge and did not clump no matter how many coats I put in. It didn't build that much volume (it doesn't promise to) but a few coats did plump up my lashes a little. I feel like this is what Benefits They're Real should have been for my Asian lashes. It definitely gives me more oomph than Benefit's. Though it doesn't give immediately crazy length like Fairydrops or fibre mascaras, this still gave me visibly longer lashes. I would say this gives me a natural+ look, better than natural but not overly dramatic.

I called for help on Twitter a couple of weeks ago when I realized my lashes were falling out and feeling brittle. Since I've been using this my lashes actually feel softer. I'm actually quite pleased with that fact and would recommend it solely on this.

Have you tried mineral based mascaras or eye pencils? Any standouts? Any suggestions for my lashes that are falling out (poor little guys....)?
