I don't know about you but I'm still trying to figure out how to highlight and bronze my face.
Obsessed Canada recently launched theBalm on their website. To celebrate, they are promoting theBalm's Manizer Duo product which is on sale. I've heard a lot about theBalm's highlighters so I was curious to try these out. The Duo contains the Mary-Lou and Betty-Lou Manizers which can be used for highlighting/bronzing as well as on the eyes.
Mary-Lou Manizer is a great champagne color. I'm finding that I prefer more yellowy champagne highlight colors in general so this was right up my alley. It gives quite a good highlight and the sunlight reflects nicely off it to showcase the tops of those cheekbones I'm trying to fake.
Look at that glow!
Betty-Lou Manizer is a bit of an ambery bronze color. Its a bit much right now in the winter and it reads a bit too orange for current use but I'm hoping it'll work out better during the summer. I'm going to use it mostly as eyeshadow for now.
Both products are smooth and quite pigmented. You might need to blend out that bronzer a bit since my brush picks up a good amount of product (in both cases). It does leave a bit of a powder trail when you lift product out of the pan but I think I can deal with that. There's so much in both pans and you don't really need to dip your brush in multiple times so a little product loss isn't so bad.
The quality is really there for both these products. I would recommend them since the price is not bad and there's a good amount in each. The only thing that could be a deterrent is the color. I don't think I would have picked up the Betty-Lou Manizer on my own just because it reads a bit orange but the Cindy-Lou Manizer would have made its way on my radar. It gives a perceptible glow to the face that's quite lovely.
Have you tried either of these products? What are your bronzers or highlighters?
I just ordered Mary-Lou Manizer and can't wait to try it out. It looks lovely on you!
